Tracked automatic ice storage and delivery system

The ice storehouse has a double-layer structure, with the inner layer

Details

  Conveyor Belt Ice Storage Structure:

  1) The ice storage consists of inner and outer double layers. The inner layer is the ice storage chamber, composed of the bottom plate, side plates, end plates, and ice storage door. The outer layer is a heat insulation layer, assembled from heat insulation materials on the facade, top, and sides, with a thickness of 150mm, and the bottom is a 150mm thick insulation layer.

  2) As shown in Figure 5: The lower part of the ice storage is a conveyor belt type, which can move as a whole. A crushing device is installed on the side. The ice is sent to the crushing device by the conveyor belt, broken into ice cubes, and then sent out of the ice storage.

  3) Internal Cold Air System

  The cold air system mainly consists of a compressor, condenser, cold air blower, and defrosting heater. The cold air blower is located in the upper rear part of the ice storage. This blower has high cooling efficiency and a compact structure.

  The ice storage has an inner and outer double-layer structure. The inner layer is the ice storage chamber. The cold air circulates within the ice storage, so even when the ice storage is full of ice, the cold air can still circulate smoothly, ensuring a balanced temperature.

 Conveyor Belt Automatic Ice Storage

  Working Principle of Conveyor Belt Ice Storage:

  Ice made by the ice making machine falls onto the conveyor belt of the conveyor belt ice storage. When ice is needed, the motor is turned on to drive the active wheel, which then drives the conveyor belt to rotate counterclockwise, causing the ice piled on the conveyor belt to move towards the ice crushing mechanism. The ice crushing mechanism crushes the ice cubes and drops them into the ice discharge auger.

  Advantages and Disadvantages of Conveyor Belt Ice Storage (Shown through a comparison table with the upper rake-type ice storage):

  Performance Comparison Table of Conveyor Belt Ice Storage and Upper Rake-type Ice Storage

Item Automatic Conveyor Belt Ice Storage Automatic Upper Rake-type Ice Storage
Structural Form The system includes a conveyor belt mechanism, ice crushing mechanism, ice discharge auger, and cold air system.
Ice is stored on the conveyor belt mechanism. An ice crushing mechanism is installed at the ice discharge end, which can act as an ice stopper and crusher. The conveyor belt moves the entire ice pile to achieve ice storage and discharge.
The system includes an ice raking mechanism, lifting mechanism, ice stopper, ice discharge auger, and cold air system.
Ice is stored below the ice raking machine. The lifting mechanism moves the ice raking machine up and down to achieve ice storage and discharge.
Advantages and Disadvantages 1. Few wearing parts.
2. Long maintenance cycle. Only basic maintenance such as oiling and changing oil for the reducer, bearings, and chains is required.
3. Stable system operation and low failure rate.
4. Low operating costs.
5. Large amount of steel structure, high cost.
1. Many wearing parts.
2. Short maintenance cycle and high intensity. In addition to basic maintenance such as oiling and changing oil for the reducer, bearings, and chains, it is also necessary to tension the ice raking chain, replace the slider, and clean old ice.
3. Unstable operation, often with ice raking machine tooth skipping, ice raking mechanism suspended by ice accumulated on both sides, unable to descend for ice discharge, etc.
4. High operating costs.
5. Small amount of steel structure, low cost.
Insulation Form The insulation layer is outside the steel structure of the ice storage, with a cold air passage of 500mm to 1200mm between the insulation layer and the steel structure. The insulation layer and the steel structure of the ice storage are independent of each other, without cold bridges. The insulation layer is tightly attached to the steel structure, and the internal and external steel structures of the ice storage are interconnected, resulting in many cold bridges.
Advantages and Disadvantages 1. The ice storage has a cold air passage around the steel structure, so the ice storage insulation is uniform, there are no dead corners, and the ice will hardly melt;
2. The ice will not melt, so there is no water leakage;
2. The ice storage has no cold bridges, so the insulation effect is better;
3. The insulation layer has a large area and high cost.
1. The ice storage and insulation layer are tightly attached, without a cold air passage, so the cold air only cools the upper surface of the ice storage. Although there are corrugated plates on the lower surface, the ventilation is too small, and the cooling effect is poor.
2. There is no cold air passing through both sides of the ice storage, which relies entirely on the insulation layer for insulation, and there are many cold bridges, so ice melting, plate accumulation, and water leakage will occur on both sides;
3. The insulation layer has a small area and low cost.
Ice Discharge Form When the ice storage discharges ice, the ice pile moves towards the discharge direction under the drive of the conveyor belt, and the ice crusher crushes the ice cubes on the cross-section of the ice pile for discharge. The ice raking machine rakes the ice layer by layer from the upper surface of the ice storage.
Advantages and Disadvantages 1. The ice in the ice storage moves as a whole for discharge, so there is no old ice.
2. With an ice crusher, even hard, solidified old ice can be transported normally.
1. The ice is discharged from the upper surface of the ice storage by the ice raking machine layer by layer. The ice on the upper surface is the last ice produced, so "millennial ice" will accumulate in the lower part of the ice storage. This kind of ice cannot be raked out by the ice raking machine. As time goes by, the "millennial ice" will accumulate more and more, and finally it can only be removed manually. Moreover, the labor intensity is very high when removing this kind of solidified ice.
Moving Parts Drive conveyor belt, ice crushing mechanism Lifting mechanism, ice raking mechanism
Advantages and Disadvantages 1. Stable operation.
2. If ice accumulates on the ice-bearing surface of the lower conveyor belt, it will cause the conveyor belt to malfunction.
The second type of failure only occurs when both the ice storage cold air system and the drainage system are simultaneously blocked, therefore the failure rate is very low.
Simple structure.
The ice rake chain is prone to skipping teeth, and the ice rake is prone to tilting and suspension failures, resulting in a very high failure rate.
Electrical System Complex electrical control, suitable for intelligent control. Ice storage uses automated control, but ice discharge is not suitable for automated control. Currently, domestic upper-rake ice storage ice discharge systems all use manual control.
